40 talented musicians will compete in a 3 round competition to see who should be crowned Talent4Talent Best Independent artist. The first round will consist of the auditioning process. In this process we will audition many artist and narrow it down to 40 finalist.
All 40 artist will be broken into 4 groups of ten where they will showcase their talents at the Hollywood Pop Academy Located within the Historic Kodak Theater Complex. Before arriving to perform each artist will report to hair and makeup where our professional staff of stylist will make sure you look your best for the performance. (There will be a professional barber on site for the men as well) Once you have the look of an A-List celebrity a stretch limousine will arrive to pick you up and bring you to the show. Once arriving on Hollywood Blvd by limousine you will walk past the "Star Walk" into the Kodak Theater Complex where you will be greeted by your publicist and walk the Red Carpet for interviews and pictures.
After all 4 shows have taken place fans will be allowed to go to our web site to view all performances from each showcase and vote on their favorite artist. The Top three artist from each showcase will make it to round 3.
In round 3 the 12 finalist will compete for 3 grand prizes. The company is called Media Entertainment.
Responded to a craiglist post for what I thought was a print casting company who were looking for models for a specific activewear brand. The post instructed us to call them, leave our info, etc. That should have been the first clue! They set up an appointment with me w/o even seeing my portfolio. Bad sign.
When I showed up to the "casting," which is in the classy NBC Universal building in Universal City, they took all of us "models" into a conference room. Then, it turns out they are also supposedly casting TV and film projects as well. I went because they said they were casting for a SPECIFIC print job.
They had us read copy, in front of the rest of our peers, after giving us like a breath to look at it. Then, the lady went to go get her associate.I couldn't actually figure out what they do!!!
I have been scammed very early on in my career. And, this had that same seedy vibe. Basically, I think they were looking for people to spend money on new pictures with "reputable photographers" they work with...etc. You know the drill. $500+ for new pics, THEN they can start "getting you out there..."
The company, once again is called Media Entertainment and they are located at 10 Universal City Plaza, Universal City, on the 20th floor.
